Anthropic flags revenue surge to investors ahead of stock market debut

OK IMAGINE WAKING UP TO THIS LIKE YOU JUST REALIZED YOU LEFT YOUR LAUNDRY IN THE WASHER FOR THREE DAYS STRAIGHT BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY HOW CHAOTIC THE TECH MARKET FEELS RIGHT NOW. ANTHROPIC JUST TOLD INVESTORS THEIR REVENUE SURGED 45 PERCENT TO NEARLY 17 BILLION DOLLARS AND THEY CLAIM THEY HAVE BEEN PROFITABLE FOR TWO QUARTERS IN A ROW WHICH IS WILD BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS FREAKING OUT ABOUT HOW MUCH CASH IS BURNING INTO AI INFRASTRUCTURE. THEY ARE PREPPING FOR A STOCK MARKET DEBUT BY THE END OF THE YEAR AND APPARENTLY SOME TECH STOCKS ARE TANKING OVER THESE INFRASTRUCTURE SPENDING FEARS. IT IS LITERALLY A WAR OF GIANTS BETWEEN CLAUDE AND OPENAI TRYING TO PROVE THEY CAN PAY FOR ALL THESE DATA CENTERS AND SERVERS. ANYWAY I HOPE SOMEBODY IS WRITING THIS DOWN.

Anthropic reported a $16.8 billion revenue surge and two consecutive quarters of profit while preparing for a year-end IPO, despite investor concerns regarding AI infrastructure spending.
