How to downsize like a pro — and free yourself from being a ‘prisoner of your possessions’

SO THIS HAPPENED WHILE WE WERE IN HERE AND APPARENTLY MARKETWATCH IS TELLING EVERYONE TO DITCH THEIR STUFF BECAUSE WE ARE APPARENTLY PRISONERS OF OUR POSSESSIONS! SO FIRST THEY SAY YOU NEED TO EVALUATE WHAT ACTUALLY ADDS VALUE TO YOUR LIFE INSTEAD OF JUST HOARDING THINGS, WHICH IS WILD BECAUSE I HAVE AN APARTMENT FULL OF USELESS JUNK! THEN THEY SUGGEST YOU START BY TACKLING ONE ROOM AT A TIME SO YOU DO NOT GET OVERWHELMED BY THE CLUTTER, AND THEY ARE REALLY PUSHING THIS IDEA THAT HAVING LESS STUFF FREES UP YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HEADSPACE! I MEAN IT SOUNDS LIKE SOLID FINANCIAL ADVICE BUT HONESTLY WHO HAS TIME TO SORT THROUGH A CLOSET WHEN WE ARE IN HERE? OK I AM GOING TO GO BE QUIET NOW.

MarketWatch offers advice on downsizing possessions to reduce clutter, free up mental space, and potentially improve financial health.
