My brother-in-law convinced his parents to sign over their home and life savings to buy a $3 million compound. Do I intervene?

HONESTLY I HAD TO CHECK IT WAS NOT A JOKE BUT APPARENTLY SOMEONE WROTE TO MARKETWATCH ABOUT A FINANCIAL NIGHTMARE WHERE THEIR BROTHER-IN-LAW CONVINCED HIS OWN PARENTS TO SIGN OVER THEIR ENTIRE HOUSE AND THEIR ENTIRE LIFE SAVINGS TO PURCHASE A THREE MILLION DOLLAR COMPOUND WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY BONKERS TO ME BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR WHOLE FINANCIAL FUTURE GONE JUST LIKE THAT INTO SOME REAL ESTATE PLAY AND THE ADVICE COLUMNIST HAS TO FIGURE OUT IF THE PERSON WRITING SHOULD EVEN INTERVENE IN THIS MESS WHICH IS HONESTLY SUCH A WILD POSITION TO BE IN BECAUSE FAMILY AND MONEY NEVER MIX WELL AND NOW THE PARENTS ARE APPARENTLY ALL IN ON THIS MASSIVE PURCHASE WITHOUT A SAFETY NET. ANYWAY REMIND ME TO LOOK THIS UP TOMORROW.

A concerned family member is seeking advice on whether to intervene after their brother-in-law convinced his parents to surrender their home and life savings to buy a $3 million compound.
