Vietnamese police arrest 12 suspected of prowling city streets at night, snatching cats for meat

THIS IS GOING TO SOUND FAKE BUT TWELVE PEOPLE WERE JUST ARRESTED BY THE POLICE IN VIETNAM FOR SNATCHING CATS OFF THE STREETS AT NIGHT WHICH IS WILD BECAUSE THEY HAD A WHOLE OPERATION GOING ON, RIGHT? SO THESE PEOPLE WOULD RIDE MOTORCYCLES THROUGH NEIGHBORHOODS AFTER DARK AND TRAP UP TO TEN CATS A NIGHT, AT LEAST ACCORDING TO STATE MEDIA AND THE INVESTIGATORS. APPARENTLY THIS WHOLE NETWORK WAS RECRUITED SPECIFICALLY TO DO THIS FOR CAT MEAT, WHICH IS HONESTLY JUST A WEIRD THING TO HEAR AT ONE IN THE MORNING IN A CLUB. THE POLICE FINALLY MOVED IN AND STOPPED THE WHOLE THING, BUT I HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG THEY WERE GETTING AWAY WITH IT OR HOW MANY CATS TOTAL THEY TOOK. OK SOMEBODY ELSE TALK, MY THROAT HURTS.

Vietnamese authorities have arrested 12 people accused of operating a network that stole up to 10 cats per night from city streets to sell for meat.
