Hundreds protest over data centre plans

YOU KNOW THAT THING EVERYONE PREDICTED ABOUT TECHNOLOGY TAKING OVER EVERYTHING WELL TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PEOPLE SIGNED A PETITION TO STOP A DATA CENTRE IN GWYNEDD WHICH IS MAD BECAUSE THAT IS A HUGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ANGRY ABOUT A BUILDING PROJECT BETWEEN CAERNARFON AND Y FELINHELI. THE DEVELOPERS SAY NINE HUNDRED CONSTRUCTION JOBS AND TWO HUNDRED PERMANENT ROLES ARE ON THE TABLE AND THEY WANT TO REVITALISE A LONG-DERELICT SITE BUT HUNDREDS SHOWED UP AT A RALLY TO SAY NO WAY BECAUSE OF THE IMPACT ON THE BEAUTIFUL LOCAL LANDSCAPE. THE LOCAL MP SAYS DATA CENTRES NEED TO BE THE RIGHT SIZE AND LOCATION BECAUSE WALES HAS HAD ENOUGH EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRIES THAT LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND SO THE WHOLE THING IS JUST STUCK IN LIMBO RIGHT NOW. ANYWAY REMEMBER I TOLD YOU FIRST.
