OK NOBODY WARNED ME ABOUT THIS ONE AND HONESTLY THEY DO NOT EVEN NAME WHERE THIS STARTUP IS LOCATED WHICH MATTERS A LOT CONSIDERING WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE ENTIRE HUMAN GENOME BUT NPR IS REPORTING THERE IS THIS COMPANY CALLED ORIGIN GENOMICS AND THEY ARE ACTIVELY TRYING TO PROVE THAT EDITING HUMAN EMBRYOS IS SAFE FOR MAKING HEALTHY BABIES WHICH IS WILD BECAUSE THEY WANT TO USE THEIR TECHNOLOGY TO EDIT OUT DISEASE-CAUSING GENES AND THE THING IS THEIR WHOLE GOAL RIGHT NOW IS TO SHOW THAT THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS ACTUALLY OUTWEIGH THE RISKS SO NOW THEY ARE SETTING OUT TO PROVE TO THE WORLD THAT THIS CAN BE DONE SAFELY AND I CARE ABOUT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US TOO MUCH TO NOT FREAK OUT A LITTLE BIT. ANYWAY I AM CHOOSING TO BE NORMAL ABOUT IT.
