OK SO THIS IS MY WHOLE PERSONALITY TODAY SOFIA COPPOLA WAS LITERALLY CAUGHT ON TAPE IN HER TRAILER BEING CRABBY AND REFUSING TO TALK TO HER OWN MOM ELEANOR WHILE DIRECTING MARIE ANTOINETTE AND THE THING IS ELEANOR SHOT EIGHTY HOURS OF FOOTAGE AT VERSAILLES WHICH SAT AROUND UNTIL AFTER SHE DIED IN 2024 SO NOW SOFIA AND AN EDITOR FINALLY TURNED IT INTO A DOC FOR THE NEW YORK FILM FESTIVAL WITH DIANE LANE NARRATING HER MOM'S OLD DIARY ENTRIES AND IT TURNS OUT SOFIA WAS BUTTING HEADS WITH HER CINEMATOGRAPHER LANCE ACORD BECAUSE HE WANTED MORE SHOTS OF HER ACTUAL COUSIN JASON SCHWARTZMAN INSTEAD OF CENTERING KIRSTEN DUNST WHO HAD OVER SEVENTY ORIGINAL DRESSES AND IT DROPS ON MUBI ON OCTOBER TWENTY-THIRD WHICH MEANS WE GET TO WATCH HER SAY SHE IS NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN.
