Man claims he went blind after taking Ozempic, shares warning for other users

OK PUT YOUR DRINK DOWN FOR THIS ONE. SO TODD ENGEL, THIS 63-YEAR-OLD GUY FROM MARYLAND, STARTED TAKING OZEMPIC FOR DIABETES IN 2023. THEN, JUST FOUR MONTHS LATER, HE GETS HIT WITH THIS DIAGNOSIS CALLED NAION, WHICH IS WHERE BLOOD FLOW ISSUES TOTALLY DESTROY YOUR OPTIC NERVE. HE SAYS HE REALIZED ON NEW YEAR'S EVE IN 2024 THAT HIS RIGHT EYE WAS JUST COMPLETELY BLACK, AND HE LOST HIS SIGHT PERMANENTLY. NOW HE IS SUING THE MANUFACTURER, NOVO NORDISK, CLAIMING THEY DID NOT GIVE PEOPLE ENOUGH WARNING ABOUT THIS DANGER. IT IS JUST REALLY CONCERNING BECAUSE EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT THIS MEDICATION ALL THE TIME, AND I DO NOT KNOW IF HE IS ALONE IN THIS, BUT IT SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. ANYWAY WHERE DID EVERYONE GO?

Todd Engel, 63, has filed a lawsuit against Novo Nordisk, alleging that the diabetes and weight-loss drug Ozempic caused him to suffer permanent vision loss from a condition known as NAION.
