Inflation surged in September as U.S. energy costs jumped

GENUINELY WHAT IS HAPPENING TODAY, IT IS LIKE TRYING TO FIX A LEAKY SINK WITH DUCT TAPE WHILE THE WHOLE HOUSE IS ON FIRE. SO INFLATION ACCELERATED TO 3.7 PERCENT IN SEPTEMBER ACCORDING TO NEW GOVERNMENT DATA WHICH IS HIGHER THAN THE 3.6 PERCENT ECONOMISTS ACTUALLY EXPECTED. GAS PRICES JUMPED 9.1 PERCENT IN JUST ONE MONTH AND APPARENTLY THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MORE THAN HALF THE RISE IN INFLATION WHICH IS WILD BECAUSE THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT BEFORE THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS. NINE IN TEN AMERICANS ALREADY THINK PRICES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR THE ECONOMY ACCORDING TO A CBS NEWS POLL. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE GOVERNMENT CAN STOP THE ENERGY COSTS FROM CLIMBING BUT IT IS CLEARLY WEIGHING ON EVERYONE. ANYWAY, ABSOLUTE SCENES.

Inflation in the U.S. rose to an annual rate of 3.7% in September, driven largely by a 9.1% jump in gas prices, exceeding economist expectations ahead of the midterm elections.
