‘We were so good’ – Sophie Cunningham now blames FIBA for Indiana Fever’s first-round exit

THIS ONE MADE ME PUT MY PHONE DOWN BECAUSE SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM IS LEGITIMATELY BLAMING FIBA FOR THE INDIANA FEVER LOSING TO THE LAS VEGAS ACES IN THE PLAYOFFS WHICH IS WILD BECAUSE THEY WERE ELIMINATED IN THREE GAMES BY A’JA WILSON WHO WAS A TOTAL BEAST! SOPHIE SAYS THE SQUAD WAS VIBING SO HARD AND PLAYING ELITE BASKETBALL BUT THAT WHOLE FIBA WORLD CUP BREAK KILLED THEIR MOMENTUM! APPARENTLY CAITLIN CLARK AND ALIYAH BOSTON WERE OFF WINNING GOLD WITH TEAM USA AND WHEN THEY CAME BACK THE FEVER JUST WENT TWO AND TWO AND LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD COACHING ISSUES WHICH IS HONESTLY SO DRAMATIC! SHE LITERALLY SAID THEY MIGHT HAVE PEAKED TOO SOON BECAUSE OF THAT BREAK AND NOW I AM JUST STRESSED FOR THE TEAM DYNAMICS. ANYWAY I WILL BE FURIOUS ABOUT THIS TOMORROW.

Sophie Cunningham believes the FIBA World Cup break disrupted the Indiana Fever's momentum, contributing to their first-round playoff loss to the Las Vegas Aces after a strong season.
