Fetterman defends political identity, weighs potential role as 51st senator

OK IMAGINE WAKING UP TO THIS WHOLE SENATE SHOWDOWN THIS NOVEMBER WHERE PENNSYLVANIA SENATOR JOHN FETTERMAN IS POTENTIALLY THE DECIDING FIFTY-FIRST VOTE AND NOBODY KNOWS HOW HE WOULD BREAK TIES BECAUSE HE LITERALLY REFUSES TO SPECULATE ON IT WHICH GOES BACK TO SATURDAY IN AUSTIN WHERE HE WAS GIVING THE CLOSING KEYNOTE AT THE TEXAS TRIBUNE FESTIVAL AND HE WAS OUT THERE DEFENDING HIS WHOLE IDENTITY AS A DEMOCRAT EVEN THOUGH HE HAS BEEN STRAYING FROM THE PARTY ON KEY ISSUES AND THE THING IS HE INSISTS HE BELONGS IN THE PARTY BUT REFUSED TO SAY HOW HE WOULD VOTE IF DEMOCRATS GET A FIFTY-ONE SEAT MAJORITY AND THEY DO NOT EVEN EXPLAIN WHY HE WOULD NOT ANSWER WHICH MEANS WE ARE ALL JUST LEANING IN WAITING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. ANYWAY, WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE.

At the Texas Tribune Festival, Sen. John Fetterman defended being a Democrat despite party differences, but declined to say how he would break ties if Democrats win a 51-seat Senate majority.
